WINNER – LARGE HOST COMPANY OF THE YEAR

Hedweld employed their first apprentice over years ago and haven’t looked back since. Success in the apprenticeship program has seen many apprentices continue with Hedweld at the completion of their apprenticeship in various trade and corporate roles, including becoming the supervisors and trainers of apprentices themselves.

The longstanding trusted partnership with HunterNet Career Connections has meant that Hedweld is able to continue to offer high quality formal traineeships and apprenticeships. Hedweld currently employs 21 apprentices, trainees and SBAT’s across three states (NSW, QLD and WA), and have committed to an annual intake of apprentices each year, which they have kept up with despite various challenges facing businesses over recent years.

WHS is above industry standard, and all employees are empowered to take responsibility for workplace safety. Each workshop starts the day with a toolbox talk and safety shares, and there is a company wide toolbox each week.

The longstanding trusted partnership with HunterNet Career Connections has meant that Hedweld is able to continue to offer high quality formal traineeships and apprenticeships. Collaboration between HunterNet and Hedweld doesn’t stop just at the apprentices.
