Apollo Engineering set up a booth at the Mining Indonesia Expo, which took place in Jakarta in September 2023 as part of the Australian Pavilion, a remarkable opportunity facilitated by Austrade and the Investment NSW Going Global Program.

This initiative is designed to bolster Australian businesses’ presence in the mining and technology sectors.

We were delighted to be chosen for participation, demonstrating our commitment to supporting the Australian mining and technology industry’s endeavours in Indonesia.

One of the event’s standout aspects was the meticulously planned networking sessions, where we not only connected with local Indonesian mining businesses but also forged meaningful connections with fellow Australian enterprises participating in the program.

This collaboration offered us valuable insights into the local Indonesian overhaul facilities’ priorities and how Apollo Engineering can effectively contribute to this landscape.

On the event’s second day, we were honoured to receive a visit from the Australian Ambassador to Indonesia, Penny Williams PSM, with strong support from Austrade and Investment NSW’s business matching initiatives.

Amidst a whirlwind of business matching networking meetings and an impressive attendance of 30,000 visitors over the course of four days, time flew by.

To bridge the language barrier effectively, we enlisted the services of a local translator, whose expertise greatly facilitated communication with local businesses, enabling us to provide comprehensive information about Apollo Engineering’s product offerings.

Despite having supplied to Indonesia 15 years ago, this event provided us with a valuable opportunity to re-establish connections with our local customers and gain fresh insights into Indonesia’s evolving landscape after 15 years of transformations.

As Indonesia continues to flourish economically, the demand for the smart automated cleaning equipment that Apollo manufactures becomes increasingly apparent.

In sum, the event was a resounding success, with commendable efforts put forth by both Austrade and Investment NSW in orchestrating the event, developing engaging networking events, and collaborating closely with consultants in Indonesia to ensure optimal business matching opportunities for all Australian companies participating in the Going Global Program.

Looking ahead, we are committed to strengthening our collaboration with Indonesia and its mining, marine, transport, and heavy industry sectors, recognising the growing need for smart automated cleaning equipment in the Indonesian market.
