The innovative Liquid Piston Heat Engine (LPHE) can help store energy in the form of compressed air, green compressed hydrogen, and liquid ammonia, etc in above surface areas initially and then downstream as compressed air storage in spent oil/gas reservoirs, salt caverns and aquifers, for larger scale (TWH), subsurface energy storage solutions.
