Bridget McCall is an experienced project manager, having 25 years of operational and business transformation experience. Currently the Commercial and Category Manager for Waste Services at City of Newcastle, Bridget’s previous roles have included Business Improvement Management for Kestrel Coal Resources and Yancoal, Global Director – Lean deployment for Rio Tinto Alcan, supporting European and North American application of lean manufacturing principles and overseeing transformational changes in performance, and manufacturing operations management for Comalco, Alcoa, and Barloworld Coatings. Bridget has been part of business transformation projects for a wide range of companies. She has a pragmatic approach to operations optimisation and business transformation, with strong foundations in lean manufacturing, strategic planning, and business analysis. Bridget has a Masters of Organisational Psychology from Sydney University and spent her early career in Industrial Relations for Construction and Staff Development at Bougainville Copper. She has also worked at the shop floor level as an operator in the mining industry.

Bridget has been with CN since February 2021 and has conducted a diagnostic of current operations, developed, and facilitated improvement plans that have resulted in turnarounds in site waiting times at landfill as well as assisted with designing the waste services business structure, creating a full cost pricing model, financial models, strategic plan, and site Masterplan.

She now oversees the project team to deliver a world class recycling system including a Materials Recovery Facility.
