eInvoicing is powered by Peppol, the international eInvoicing standard. The Australian Taxation Office is Australia’s Peppol Authority which governs the network and the standard. It ensures that eInvoicing service providers adhere to strict security protocols and are trusted entities. The ATO cannot see the eInvoice data which is sent through the eInvoicing network.
