Finding and accessing the right government Grants – 1st session – Export Grants.

With more than 40 different government grants open at any one time, it can be extremely challenging and time-consuming for a lot of companies to successfully negotiate this landscape and gain access to funding support. At KPMG, we hear several stories from companies having to juggle with the different eligibility requirements and constantly having to ask, is my business eligible, is my project also eligible, what this funding scheme considers as regional, and ultimately, have I addresses the criteria to be competitive?

HunterNet member KPMG will be offering a monthly grant information series to help you identify what grants and other government incentives are available and to help you match the right grant opportunities to your business. This online series will bring KPMG dedicated grant specialist from around Australia focusing on one theme each month in a short 30-45min session covering:

  1. Export Grants (EMDG)
  2. Clean Energy grants (Arena)
  3. R&D Tax Incentive + Pre financing your R&D
  4. Commercialisation Grants
  5. Early Stage Investor Tax Incentive (ESIC)
  6. Job Creation Grants
  7. Manufacturing Grants

The first session focuses on financial assistance in developing export opportunities, in particular the Austrade’s Export Market Development Grants or EMDG, which is designed to support the promotion of Australian products overseas. KPMG are also happy to meet companies and discuss directly if you would like to learn more about assistance in applying contact Paul Scobie pscobie@kpmg.com.au
