Supply Chain Connect
Get in the room with the buyers. Apply for the Hunter region’s dedicated renewable energy supply chain forum.
Thursday, 23 April 2026 | Tertiary Education Centre, Muswellbrook NSW | Hosted by New.E Hunter New Energy, HunterNet & EnergyCo.
What is Supply Chain Connect?
Supply Chain Connect is a structured, one-day forum that gives Hunter region businesses direct, private access to procurement and delivery managers from the major renewable energy and infrastructure projects shaping our region.
Instead of spending months trying to find the right person at the right company, we’re doing our best to try and bring them to you, in a single day of curated one-to-one conversations matched to what your business does.
No booths. No panels. Just 10 minutes with the right person.
Who will you be meeting?
Confirmed buyer organisations span all major projects in the program. Their one-page Project Briefs are available to download in the section below so you should read them before you apply.
● Hunter Valley Hydrogen Hub — Orica
● HCC REZ Network Infrastructure — John Holland, Ausgrid
● Muswellbrook Solar Farm — Bouygues Construction Australia
● Project TBA – Genus Infrastructure NSW
Download Buyer Project Briefs
Each participating buyer has prepared a one-page Project Brief summarising their project, timeline, and the types of capabilities they are looking for. Download these before submitting your EOI to assess your fit and prepare a stronger application.

↳ Project Brief — HCC REZ Network Infrastructure (John Holland / Ausgrid)
↳ Project Brief — Muswellbrook Solar Farm (Bouygues Construction Australia)

What’s in it for your business?
● Get in front of buyers before formal procurement opens, when conversations about needs, not specifications, are still possible.
● Private one-to-one meetings: no competitors within your conversation earshot, no public commitments required.
● Needs-based conversations providing space to offer alternative or innovative approaches, not just respond to specifications.
● Your capabilities may directly shape how future work packages are designed, including local aggregation and place-based delivery.
● Direct contact exchange with people who are typically very difficult to access through conventional channels.
● Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander businesses are specifically welcomed as we have a dedicated buyer stream available on the day.
How the day works
Based on your Capability Quad Chart, our matching team pairs you with the buyers whose project needs best align with your business (you might also specify whom you desire to meet with, though actual allocation will be afforded those with best fit, unless time permits wider inclusion). You’ll receive a personalised run sheet in advance showing your scheduled sessions and buyer organisations, and “room” allocations.
● Sessions are 10 minutes each with a 5-minute transition buffer.
● Suppliers typically receive between 3 and 5 curated meetings across the day.
● A Project Summary Booklet is distributed to all suppliers ahead of the event.
● Direct contact exchange is actively encouraged — this is about building lasting relationships.
How to apply
Places are limited and allocated by capability match taking primacy over desired matches, though these will be fulfilled on a best endeavours basis time permitting. Complete all three steps below to be considered:
Participation conditions — all three steps are mandatory
☑ List your business on the New.E Capability Directory at hunternewenergy.com.au/capability-directory. This must be completed before you submit your EOI. Your listing ensures year-round visibility with regional project proponents — not just at events.
☑ Register your EOI on Crowdcatcher using the form below, by the EOI close date (4th April). Conditional acceptance will be issued to all eligible applicants. Download and review the Buyer Project Briefs above before applying — this will strengthen your submission.
☑ Complete and submit your Capability Quad Chart by 9 April 2026 — a one-page structured template capturing your capabilities, relevant experience, capacity, and key customers. Template and instructions provided here, and acceptance is conditional to lodgment. Applicants who do not submit by the deadline will not be allocated sessions.
Not sure if you’re eligible?
This forum is open to businesses that are based in the Hunter, currently employ people in the Hunter, or are actively looking to establish or grow a workforce presence in the region. If your business provides products or services relevant to renewable energy generation, storage, transmission, or enabling infrastructure, or the civil, electrical, mechanical, or professional services that support major projects, we want to hear from you. If you’re unsure, either apply or Email info@hunternewenergy.com.au.
