Pathway to Further Study

Completion of the HunterNet Future Leaders Program doesn’t just accelerate your leadership capability – it also contributes to your formal qualifications. Graduates of the program are eligible to receive two course credits towards a Master of Business Administration (MBA) at the University of Newcastle.

This recognition highlights the quality and academic rigour of the program while giving you a valuable head start should you choose to pursue postgraduate study. By counting your Future Leaders Program experience towards an MBA, you can:

Each participant is guided by Experienced Team Mentors – senior professionals who are passionate about sharing their knowledge, offering practical advice, and helping you apply your learnings to real-world challenges.

In addition, you’ll benefit from the insight and encouragement of Committee Members who have previously completed the program. Having walked in your shoes, they understand the opportunities and challenges ahead and can provide first-hand perspectives on how to make the most of the experience.

This dual layer of mentorship ensures you are supported, challenged, and inspired every step of the way – helping you grow both personally and professionally while building lasting connections across industry.

Future Leaders Program FAQs

  • Our unique leadership training program is open to both HunterNet members and non-members.

    Participants aren’t required to meet any prerequisite level of training or education.

  • Our Future Leaders Program runs for nine months in total. It consists of 13 leadership topic sessions of approximately 2 hours each from 5pm – 7pm on the nominated session dates.

    Project commitment will vary depending on several factors, but participants should expect to dedicate a few hours each week. The exact time required will depend on your team’s approach, level of detail, and commitment to the project.

  • The workshops are usually held at the HunterNet Offices in King St Newcastle, some sessions are also helf at  NUSpace – the University of Newcastle’s Hunter Street location. This is subject to change.

  • EARLY BIRD PRICING – until 31ST OCTOBER 2025

    $6450.00+GST – HunterNet Members

    $7150.00+GST – Non Members

    From 1st NOVEMBER 2025:

    $6800.00+GST – HunterNet Members

    $7500.00+GST – Non Members

  • Graduates of the HunterNet Future Leaders Program are recognised with a graduation certificate and celebrated at our Awards Presentation Dinner, where the winning project team is announced.

    Beyond graduation, participants enjoy lasting benefits, including:

Our employee embarked on the Future Leader Journey in April and the growth we have seen in their productivity, mindset, capabilities and above all leadership qualities has most certainly impressed us and reinforced how great a Program this is.
