The HunterNet Future Leaders Program is uniquely designed to take our region’s developing professionals to the next level through exposure to industry leading presenters, cross-functional networking, and a competitive scenario-based project experience.
The dynamic workshop sessions invite participants to share their individual experiences across various sectors, and interact directly with industry-leading presenters, allowing the participants to exclusively leverage mutual knowledge.
A key aspect of the Program is the major project where the participants form multi-disciplinary teams and work within a competitive business environment on a topic relevant to the business world today. During the Project, teams are mentored by industry leading professionals and collectively present to a judging panel consisting of prominent business executives.
This Program allows Hunter businesses to not only invest in the future of their developing professionals, but safeguard the continued success of their business.
Each year this Program grows from strength to strength, with 2024 Program places already limited! Get in quick to secure the leadership development opportunity of a lifetime.
Our employee embarked on the Future Leader Journey in April and the growth we have seen in their productivity, mindset, capabilities and above all leadership qualities has most certainly impressed us and reinforced how great a Program this is. Our company has prioritised the importance of developing and nurturing our own. We cannot thank HunterNet enough for this Program and we’re using this as part of the learning and development of our future leaders. Let’s Talk Mental Health with Steve Gamble from Man Overboard
Mental Health is a topic that is becoming more and more important to discuss, especially as you move more into management and leadership roles. Your own mental health will affect how you think, feel and act. It also determines how we deal with stress, relate to others, and make choices.
Most importantly being able to talk about mental health with your team, and being aware of considerations you might need to make when dealing with others, will make you a very empathetic leader as well.
Steve’s session is about removing the stigmas and barriers associated with talking about health and mental health as well as encouraging conversations within your own family and friends.

Emotional Intelligence – With Bernie Garrett
Leadership is not about one’s position, but more about one’s level of self-awareness and the impact we as leaders, have on one ‘self and that of the people around us.
Emotional intelligence is not about how smart one believes they are, but more about one’s ability to identify and regulate one’s own emotions and understand the emotions of others.
A high Emotional Quotient helps you to build relationships, reduce team stress, defuse conflict and improve one’s job satisfaction.
Now imagine you are a successful leader in your field, business or organisation, not because of what you have achieved, but because of how you make people feel every day.
