Hunternet Career Connections Expands Nationally into WA
For almost 30 years, HunterNet Career Connections (HCC) has proudly supported HunterNet Members and host organisations across NSW, providing apprentices and trainees across a wide range of industries. Over this time, we have grown into one of the state’s leading providers of workforce development solutions, and we thank our members and hosts for allowing us to play a role in shaping their future talent pipelines.
In the past eight years, HCC has diversified significantly, supporting industries spanning manufacturing, defence, new energy, and more. This growth has also seen us expand our reach, partnering with National clients operating across NSW, WA, and QLD—an exciting step towards becoming a truly recognised National provider.
Building on this success, and with the full support of the HunterNet and HCC Board of Directors, we are pleased to announce our formal expansion into Western Australia. HCC is in the process of establishing a registered operation with the WA Government, who have expressed strong support for our entry into the region. Currently, no comparable providers in WA offer the same diversity of expertise across manufacturing, defence, and new energy. The WA Government has identified skills development as a critical element in driving a more diversified economy beyond mining and recognises HCC as a valuable partner in this journey.
We are deeply appreciative of our National clients—including Regal Rexnord, Hedweld Group of Companies, and Sandvik—who have helped pave the way for this expansion. As part of our application process, we are demonstrating a strong client base to support our establishment phase in WA, with an initial focus on continuing to service our existing and prospective National members and host companies.
