The Hunter’s sustainable business network
Sustainability has become a ‘must’ in industry and business. Our Environment & Sustainability (E&S) cluster was set up in 2018 when it was noted that the membership of environmentally-centric organisations within HunterNet started growing.
Our sustainable business network offers support and facilitation, including mindset shift. Bioengineering, sustainability, renewable energy and circular economy industry are part of our day-to-day focus areas. We’re also part of NSW EPA’s Bin Trim program.
—Corrs Chambers WestgarthRegional E&S snapshot: The Australian government has committed to net-zero emissions. As part of stage one, NSW's objective is to deliver a 50 per cent cut in emissions by 2030. In addition, there continues to be a focus on waste reduction, recycling and phasing out single-use plastics, plus circularity.

- Share knowledge and insights on trends and horizon changes in E&S so that members can position themselves for future relevance
- Promote member capabilities to industry sector primes
- Develop working groups engaged in supply chain participation projects
