Helping members and Medtech advance
Some very innovative medTech leaders and capable businesses are emerging in the Hunter and our midst. Together with the Medical Innovation Task Force, we have the opportunity to lead the collaboration with industry and contribute to growth.
A small number of our members are currently engaged or looking at their future involvement in the Medtech sector. It’s an emerging sector and one that we’re keen to help industry to develop by highlighting medtech opportunities and offering medtech consulting.
—Business NSWThe medtech sector in Australia is worth $6.1 billion and employs over 36,000 people. Nearly 40 per cent of these businesses are located in NSW, making it the latest regional medtech market. While this sector is growing, there's significant opportunity to accelerate.
