Key promotions for senior women in Newcastle
Australian Business Lawyers & Advisors has announced the promotion of two senior practitioners in the Newcastle office, with Kate Thomson and Caitlin Vincent having been promoted to Associate Director effective 1 July.
CEO, Nigel Ward, said the promotions recognise the significant role both Kate and Caitlin play within the firm, as well as the continued growth and success of the Newcastle office.
Since the Newcastle office opened in 2015, the business has organically grown to become a leading provider of workplace law services, and now boasts a loyal client following throughout the Hunter region. The promotions also follow the recent decision to shift focus solely on workplace relations and employment law, allowing the firm to leverage its capability and expertise in that space.
These promotions represent a new era for the Newcastle office, with both Caitlin and Kate taking on senior roles within the team under the leadership of Director, Kyle Scott.
Caitlin Vincent joined ABLA in 2019, moving back to Newcastle after spending 5 years at a top-tier firm in Sydney. Caitlin is an accomplished lawyer, known for her responsive service, and works closely with clients to manage their day-to-day HR issues.
Kate Thomson has been with ABLA for eight years and joined when the Newcastle office opened. Kate has become a trusted advisor to many of our clients and is popular among the business community for her presentations at conferences and events throughout NSW. Kate is also actively involved in the community, including through her longstanding involvement in the Newcastle Law Society as well as other groups.
