We were truly blown away by the incredible evening we had exploring the future of engineering at the University of Newcastle’s NU Teams facility! HunterNet Co-operative members were given an exclusive opportunity to witness firsthand the groundbreaking projects that the teams are currently working on. From electric racecars that are revolutionizing the automotive industry, to rockets that are pushing the boundaries of space exploration, and even autonomous marine vessels that are transforming the way we navigate our oceans – it was a night filled with awe and inspiration.

What truly stood out was the passion and dedication of the next generation of engineers. They are not only mastering the skills taught in a traditional engineering degree, but they are also developing innovative techniques and pushing the limits of what is possible. It’s truly thrilling to see them embrace unconventional approaches and think outside the box, paving the way for a future filled with endless possibilities.

A special thank you goes to Dr Alexander Gregg and the entire NU Teams crew for hosting us and showcasing their remarkable work. Their commitment to innovation and their ability to inspire others is truly commendable.
