Coming from a successful family of developers, she has property and infrastructure in her blood and shares their enduring passion and commitment in shaping the region’s growth and prosperity. Her work is grounded in a deep sense of responsibility to strengthen the Hunter’s economic and social fabric through collaboration, capability, and connection.
In her role as the Industry Engagement Consultant at the University of Newcastle, Chonteau leads strategic partnerships across industry, academia, and government to strengthen workforce capability and futureproof the Hunter’s skills pipeline. Over her 14-year tenure, she has been instrumental in key programs & initiatives, including the University’s previous Industry Scholarship Program (UNISS).
