HunterNet Career Connections is seeking Expressions of Interest for the Pre-Apprenticeship Program – Advanced Manufacturing, designed to give participants hands-on experience and foundational skills in the engineering and manufacturing industry.
This program provides a blend of theoretical learning and practical, hands-on workshops, giving participants the opportunity to explore how advanced manufacturing technologies drive modern industry.
Program Overview:

Complete 3 Units of Competency in just 1 week at TAFE (Tighes Hill)

Participate in practical, hands-on training workshops

Gain 2 days of work experience with one of HunterNet’s host companies (allocated after training completion)
Units of Competency:

MEMPE001: Use engineering workshop machines

MEMPE007: Pull apart and re-assemble engineering mechanisms

MEMPE005: Develop a career plan for engineering & manufacturing

Eligibility Criteria:
Applicants must:

Be 15 years or older

No longer be enrolled in high school

Be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, Australian permanent resident, or humanitarian visa holder

Hold or be applying for a Unique Student Identifier (USI)
