Business Trainee

Warners Bay – FULL TIME

HunterNet Career Connections, in partnership with our host company, are seeking a Business Trainee to join the team in Warners Bay. This is an exciting opportunity for a school leaver or someone looking for a career change to complete the Certificate III Business over 12 months whilst working full-time. Our host company is a leading Australian manufacturer and supplier of steel building products including roofing, cladding, rainwater, structural and fencing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Liaise with customers to meet or exceed their expectations.
  • Document and maintain complete and accurate supporting information of customers and their requirements.
  • Receive, process and verify the accuracy of orders from customers utilising the organisation’s internal data systems and customer purchase orders.
  • Create invoices and credit memos, issuing them to customers by all necessary means, and update customer files.
  • Initiate required action for response to customer service requests for order changes, including the maintenance of order/customer information files and communicate changes to the appropriate personnel/departments.
  • Effectively deal with telephone enquiries requesting quotations for products, compiling information on the desired products including prices.
  • Liaise and provide support to Sales team members, Logistics Officer, Production personnel and customers to efficiently answer general enquiries concerning deliveries and production.
  • Liaise on a daily basis with colleagues and update them on any developments in your work, ensuring a high level of team relationships exist.
  • Ensure personal competency in the operation of the Company’s computer systems to enable access to customer information and input sales orders as required.
  • Follow all Work Health and Safety policies, procedures and work instructions, safe work method statements and risk assessments.
  • Perform other duties as directed by the management team.
