Are you a 3rd or 4th-year apprentice electrician ready to take the next step in your career? HunterNet Career Connections in partnership with our host company EMF Group are seeking an enthusiastic apprentice to continue their trade and gain hands-on experience at mine sites across the Muswellbrook area, including Mt Arthur Coal, Dartbrook, Bengalla, and Mt. Pleasant.
Position Overview:
As an Apprentice Electrician, you’ll work within the CHPP (Coal Handling Preparation Plant), focusing on maintenance, breakdowns, and upgrade projects. Your tasks will include:
- PLC panel work
- Installation of cable trays
- Running and terminating new cabling for motors, VSDs, and MCCs
- General maintenance tasks
Essential Criteria:
- Currently a 3rd or 4th-year Apprentice Electrician
- Valid car licence and own transport
- White card
Desirable Criteria:
- Mine site experience
- LVR/CPR certification
- Working at Heights certification
Requirements:
- PPE compliant with mine site standards (specific clothing and footwear required)
- Ability to complete a pre-employment medical, including a Coal Board Medical and Respirator Fit Test
