1st Year Boilermaking Apprenticeship

HunterNet Career Connections is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join their team as a Boilermaker Apprentice, with our host in Gateshead.

The successful applicants will complete a Certificate III Engineering – Fabrication Trade over 4 years and kickstart a lifelong career with a worldwide leader in Fabrication and expert in their field.

As an Apprentice your main duties will include:

  • General fabrication which may include- welding, grinding, cutting, rolling, shaping and polishing
  • Cleaning, and general preparation or surfaces
  • General repairs and maintenance of products
  • Competently use trade related equipment
  • Safely use hand and power tools
  • General housekeeping duties

Essential Criteria:

  • Willingness to learn and follow instructions
  • Reliable employee with great communication skills
  • Great time management skills
  • High mechanical and mathematical aptitude
  • Proactive and safety conscious person who can maintain a clean and safe environment
  • Willingness and ability to complete safety documents on a daily basis
  • Behave in a courteous and professional way at all times
  • Problem solving skills
