HunterNet Career Connections have an exciting opportunity for a hard working, dedicated and motivated candidate to join their team as an Apprentice Fitter, with our host in Gateshead.
Joining our host, you will be working with a worldwide leader and expert in their field. A reliable, innovative company who are specialists in metal fabrication and general engineering. As an apprentice, you will have an enthusiasm to learn and a long term interest in the trade, as well as an eagerness to build your knowledge. You will be willing to put it in the effort to develop your skills and be able to listen and follow instructions from your supervisors and leading hands. The successful candidate will complete a Certificate III Engineering – Mechanical Trade over 4 years.
Daily duties may include, but not limited to;
- General mechanical duties,
- Assemble parts and structures
- General repairs and maintenance of machines and equipment.
Essential Criteria:
- Willingness to learn and follow instructions
- Reliable employee with great communication skills
- Great time management skills
- High mechanical and mathematical aptitude
- Proactive and safety conscious person who can maintain a clean and safe environment
- Willingness and ability to complete safety documents on a daily basis
- Behave in a courteous and professional way at all times
- Problem solving skills
