Machinist Apprentice

Rutherford – FULL TIME

HunterNet Career Connections, in partnership with their host company, have an exciting opportunity for an apprentice to begin their career as a Machinist and gain a nationally recognised qualification. Joining our host in Rutherford, you will be working with an expert in their field, whilst completing a Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical.

As an apprentice, you will have an enthusiasm to learn and a long-term interest in the trade, as well as an eagerness and enthusiasm to build your knowledge. You will be willing to put in the effort to develop your skills and be able to listen and follow instructions from your supervisor.

As an Apprentice your daily duties may include:

  • Learn to operate manual/CNC machines
  • Interpret technical drawings
  • Use precision tools to cut, shape and assemble metal/plastic parts
  • Focusing on hands-on training, safety maintenance and problem-solving under supervision to build skills for creating precise components.
  • Follow all Work Health & Safety requirements
