Apprentice Mechanical Fitter

HunterNet Career Connections are seeking a motivated and reliable individual to join our host company in Kewdale as a Mechanical Apprentice.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone currently in their 2nd or 3rd year of a Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade. However, applicants with no prior experience but a strong willingness to learn are also encouraged to apply and begin a rewarding career in the mechanical trades while gaining a nationally recognised qualification.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist qualified tradespeople with general mechanical repairs
  • Assemble and disassemble mechanical components and structures
  • Support maintenance and breakdown activities on machinery
  • Prepare and organise parts for assembly from the warehouse
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organised workshop environment

Essential Criteria:

  • Strong willingness to learn and follow instructions
  • Reliable, punctual, and professional attitude
  • Effective communication and time management skills
  • Good mechanical aptitude and basic mathematical ability
  • Proactive approach to safety and maintaining a safe work environment
  • Ability to complete daily safety documentation
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
